Large Falcon Pipe Bowl

Fresh out of my lathe.

It has the biggest tobacco chamber i have ever turned.

From right to left the Bantam a standard bowl and my huge bowl.

This briar block has some nice grain and only a couple of tiny inclusions.
One of the best blocks i have.
This bowl is huge.

Ben Chifley’s Pipe

Ben Chifley the 16th Prime Minister of Australia from 1945 to 1949.
Possibly our best loved Prime Minister, and a former train driver, was rarely seen without his pipe.
Ben Chifley's  pipe in leather case with initials 'J.B.C.' (Joseph Benedict Chifley)

Pipe spotting ???

This is on an auction site.
It's called a Steinbach Smoker.
The clockwork lathe spins it plays music and i think you
put a stick of incense in his pipe. .
I like his  Vernier calipers.
He needs a beard.

Pipe spotting

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring

Bowl colouring

On the left a new bowl the middle bowl after a week and a half of smoking.
The last bowl is heavily smoked 4 or 5 months old.
No need to stain.

Erik Stokkebye - 4th Generation 1931

Black Cavendish, Burley, Virginia.
This tobacco i am sure is made by Mac Baren
They look almost identical to MB Navy flake.
Rum is there as is a slight honey flavour.
The aroma in tin is mouth watering.
Rubs out easy just a little drying time needed.
Easy to light and full of flavour.
It is like a more intense MB Navy flake.
I will be ordering more.
