| I have been experimenting with stem connection. I was able to get a 15mm by 1m acrylic rod so no more stupid pen blanks. The bowl is tapped 10mm. The acrylic spacer has a 10mm thread on one end the other is tapped 8mm. Threaded the vulcanite stem 8mm to my surprise it threaded perfectly. To overcome the alignment problem i turned a small briar lock nut. So the stem can be rotated to any position and locked. I have smoked this pipe about 10 times so far and this system works well perfect seal and tight. |
