The next tobacco

FireDance is Best Brown 6" Flake subtly flavoured with a combination of Blackberry, Brandy and Vanilla. The smoke is a mild, cool experience with the Blackberry the predominant flavour, the Brandy in the background and rounded off with the Vanilla. A mild and fruity smoke with the strength of Best Brown and a very pleasing room aroma.
Andrea said it smells like Turkish delight and rose water.

Smells like Bubblegum.

The flakes are evenly cut.

Damp out of the tin need's drying time.
I packed up the Falcon once dry it is easy to light.
The flavour is fairly strong Blackberry but it diminishes as the bowl burns down.
There is quality tobacco in there but its hard to find it with all the topping.
The nicotine is in the mid range.
Recently i have bought a few lakeland tobacco's to try.

Robert McConnell - Scottish Flake

The flakes are perfectly cut.
A little moist just a little drying time needed.
I folded and stuffed i needed one and a half flakes
this pipe has a huge bowl.

Drill hole is slightly low but still well on target.

Pure red Virginia and that's it.
Smells like hay.
Easy smoking smooth pure tobacco taste mid nicotine content.
Very sweet and no bite a solid tobacco.

The next tobacco

Just finished the tin.
This is a very nice flake easy to fold and stuff or rub out.
Needs a little drying time.
The flavor is pure tobacco with a slight hint of plum.
Nicotine is a bit above mid strength so suits me.

Dunhill Churchwarden

Hobo Hoot gave me this Dunhill pipe earlier this year.
It had no stem.

I turned a spacer from acrylic and fitted a churchwarden stem.
Smokes great but will get better when the cake builds.

Ginger Baker is a pipe smoker.

I want to make a custom bowl for his Falcon.

From the Box: Nording straight grain 'B'

Unrestored, as it is from the box of 'one day' pipes. May actually get time to clean and polish it this weekend...maybe...

Early Nording, classic Danish pipe for the time - back when they were all establishing the 'freehand' style. For a while the stem shape seen on this pipe was Nording's 'signature'.

With a tobacco chamber that is 25mm wide at the top (sharp v-shaped chamber, about 3mm across at the bottom PERFECT drilling), 40mm deep at it's shortest point and with walls of up to 18mm - well...it's a man's pipe. And, it's incredibly light.
