Pipe Spotting

Underbelly Squizzy

Canadian Pipe restoration

The rim came up a treat.

Before with pipey

Errrr after

Nice grain

Alexander of Greece
This pipe is huge you could use it to paddle a cedar-strip canoe across Canada.
Loaded it up with my special turning blend.
I take a little tobacco down to my machine shop each day and add it to the tin.
Smoked cool and smooth and  forever.
Won't need any more nicotine this morning.
I don't think this pipe has been smoked much not a lot of cake.
Reamed down to the timber easily.
Used  pure alcohol and pipe cleaners to clean inside.
Not a lot of gunk came out nice and clean.
I really like this pipe if the bowl was half size it would be perfect for me.
Last but not least.
I would like to thank the ever generous Hobo Hoot for gifting me this beautiful pipe.

The bowl has a nice taper.

Has anybody seen a calabash falcon Bowl before ?
I so need a bent falcon.
I would be happy to swap a bowl for one.

This weeks Tobacco no1

Macbaren Navy Flake 100 gram tin vintage 2012

MacBaren tobacco gets bad reviews sometimes.
But its all ways Beautifully presented.

Precision flakes.

Hobo Dave and his first pipe for the day...

ehheheheheheee...

But seriously, I think it's some sort of gourd he's got there, like the one used in making a calabash. Look at the colour! That sir, is a nice patina.

Pipe Spotting

Rodger Smith again
The Twilight Zone.
Light my pipe baby

Real or fake?

Basketwork hat and a bow-tie, what more could a man want? Is the meerschaum coloured through fake processes though? Or was it smoked to achieve this patina? Mouthpiece is made from amber and the pipe was made by Carl Hiess in Vienna, Wien, Austria.
