A special Falcon pipe

Thomas from Austria sent me some pictures
of his Falcon.
I think it must be gold plated.
Truly beautiful and the Meerschaum bowl wow.
I will be turning some bowls for it this week and will post their progress.
Thanks Thomas.

Samuel Gawith Sam's Flake

From Samuel Gawith's website. The 2nd in our Mayors Collection. Sam's Flake is a combination of Flue-cured Virginias and Turkish leaf which after blending is pressed in the hot oven, cut and then treated to a light flavouring which adds another flavour dimension to the tobacco. Good smoke and room-aroma with a medium strength.
The topping is Tonquin Bean same as 1792.

Smoked in a Peterson's no15 Sterling Silver hallmarked 1984.
As with all Samuel Gawith tobacco this is high quality.
Soft flakes that great smell.
Easy to rub out needs a little drying time.
The taste for me is like 1792's baby brother .
Lights easyish and burns well to a very light grey ash.
Produces a good amount of smoke.
Sweet Virginia with a slight vanilla taste from the Tonquin.
The nicotine level is medium but the flavour is fairly full.
The sample came from Samuel Gawith via Tobacco Blends in Frankston, VIC.
