Grrrrrrrrrr Worms ?????????????

Trying to turn a Calabash for my Falcon pipe.
Using the block that would give the biggest bowl.
The holes are filled with a sort of hard dust

This hole goes in at least 12mm

    Probably worms, but could also have been a large root that the burl grew around. Probably a borer of some sought though! Very cool to see this though as I've never seen faults documented like this by a pipe maker.
