House pipe
This pipe was given to me by Hootie what a guy.
Its so huge it must be a house pipe i think it will hold about $6.50 worth of expensive Australia tobacco.
Has a shield with letters in it might be F/P and Imported Briar thats it so who knows what it is.
Tonight i will load it up see how it smokes until now it has never been smoked.
Gave it a polish and wax it then i used the Dunhill polishes so it shines like shit on a barn door.

Mix
Ok i just mixed a blend of about 60% Gallaher's plug Irish cake and 40% Erinmore flake.
Cuts back the strong cake and adds the slight fruity topping taste of the Erinmore.
The blend is a very potent mix nicotine wise with a great strong taste.

I need the nicotine hit as i have not been pipe smoking to long and come from cigarettes.

1 of tonight's smokes
Irish cake is great tobacco i can feel the chest hairs growing.
Going to buy another this week.
Hope he has more.
This and Erinmore flake are the only
tobacco's available in Australia i have found so far i would buy twice.

Classy Pipes: Peterson silver spigot with lucite bit
Okay, here is a strange one. A Peterson's silver spigot army mount but with a lucite bit. I can't seem to find this model anywhere (with that style of bit). Anyone else have any ideas? AND, how classy is that pipe!

Polishing: The foot powered buffer
So, whilst having a bowl I jotted down the idea below. I have all the major parts lying around here.
The components are:
- 26" bicycle rim (have) with a big 2" knobbly tire (have) on it. The tire is packed with sand (have) to create a flywheel. Not sure if it will be heavy enough, will see.
- fork (have)
- regular bike crank (have) with a pedal axle (have) inserted. Crank will attach to the axle of the wheel.
- Leather strap made from an old belt (have) attached to a hinged board that will be the foot/pedal board.
The whole thing will be mounted to/through a collapsible workhorse (have) that has my antique saw-table (have) mounted to the top.
Power to be transferred from wheel to pulley on table saw via a rope (have). I'll spin the wheel up and use a gouge to mill out the center section of tread and this will create a 'v' for the rope to run in.
