| Well it still needs a lot of work but it smokes. happy with the tobacco bowl a nice taper The smoke hole enters at the bottom of the bowl nice. The bit an old p lip fits well. There are 1 or 2 rough spots but i have learnt a lot. Hopefully the next 1 will be better. I so need a better chuck. Yo HH 1 almost down 49 to go Hahahaha. |

Damn dude that's cool, can't believe you beat me to it, although I shouldn't be surprised.
The pipe looks to be a good size, quite surprising from that small block, and you might end up with a a 'perfect' your first time out, lucky.

Those rough spots in the pics could be grain tear-out from blunt chisels. Do you have any normal wood chisels lying around with better steel in them?
Its a steep learning curve.
ReplyDeleteDave, you ought to keep that one just as it is. Most people would finish it but for some reason I get a strong hunch that pipe is "special" for some reason...other than being the first...just a hunch.
