I have some Plumcake I bought years ago. Bites me too. Once it bites me I can't taste it all. I gotta agree fully with you. Plumcake can be a bit nasty to smoke. I don't care for Borkum Riff either but can in a pinch smoke the BR Whiskey. Erinmore is nowhere as good as it used to be 3P is good, love Black Mallory but have not tried the rest of the stuff on your list.

I was surprised by the flavor not what i remembered.
No, I only started smoking it about 3 years ago so I can't speak of the flavor of years ago.
