Maybe the ghost of Franken Blend lives on?You could try dropping the entire bowl in alcohol for a while, would have to refinish it though! Booze bath just inside the bowl would be easy, best to remove almost all cake first though, let the booze get to the wood as easily as possible. I've always thought that if you could apply a slight vacuum for an hour so with the booze in there it would do wonders.
take a look at the most recent post for this pipe, it has colored considerably. Who said that African meer doesn't color properly? Old wives tale it seems. Either that or it needs some put-hair-on-your-back plug to make it color...
I have the grand total of one Pete meer and she's coloring nicely too. Block meer colors well no matter where it's from. Turkee or Afrikee...ta hear the experts (ex= a has been, spurt = a drip under pressure). What do those has been drips know about meer? Shoo, I've got a couple of what are either pressed or heavy block meers and all of 'em are getting right purdy. I don't smoke 'em as much as I should but I've only got one mouth and a single pair 'o mitts and more than a hunnert briars so..........
