Pipe Spotting

American Dad

The next tobacco

Just finished the tin.
This is a very nice flake easy to fold and stuff or rub out.
Needs a little drying time.
The flavor is pure tobacco with a slight hint of plum.
Nicotine is a bit above mid strength so suits me.

Dunhill Churchwarden

Hobo Hoot gave me this Dunhill pipe earlier this year.
It had no stem.

I turned a spacer from acrylic and fitted a churchwarden stem.
Smokes great but will get better when the cake builds.

Ginger Baker is a pipe smoker.

I want to make a custom bowl for his Falcon.

Cream is one of my favorite bands.

From the Box: Nording straight grain 'B'

Unrestored, as it is from the box of 'one day' pipes. May actually get time to clean and polish it this weekend...maybe...

Early Nording, classic Danish pipe for the time - back when they were all establishing the 'freehand' style. For a while the stem shape seen on this pipe was Nording's 'signature'.

With a tobacco chamber that is 25mm wide at the top (sharp v-shaped chamber, about 3mm across at the bottom PERFECT drilling), 40mm deep at it's shortest point and with walls of up to 18mm - well...it's a man's pipe. And, it's incredibly light.

The next Tobacco

Vanilla Creme Flake by MacBaren

I filled my Stanwell 63m freehand up by
folding and stuffing.
My first impressions where good its smokes sweet and is easy to light.
As with most aromatics it smokes a little wet.
The taste is the same as there vanilla cream mixture.
Now 3 nights later and its all gone
Tried a bunch different pipes and ways to load folded and stuffed
loaded vertically rubbed out even cubed.
Flake is so versatile.
All i can say is never again.
At the moment i'm smoking a tin at a time start to finish.
There are some interesting tobaccos in my cupboard and on the way
from flakes, cakes and plugs.
Now the decision as to what to smoke next.

The next Tobacco 350th Post

I have been wanting to try this
tobacco for a long time now.
I ordered  it a while ago and received a tin of the
vanilla cream loose cut instead.
So success this time.
